Can Coronavirus survive on our phones? The answer is yes because our hands come into contact with thousands of germs every day. Wherever we go, everything we touch exposes us to hundreds of microorganisms, many of which can be pathogens. Unfortunately, we use our phone with the same hands, we rarely wash. In fact, the average user touches the screen of their phone more than 200 times a day.

Alcohol evaporates very quickly, which means it will clean your device without damaging the screen and filtering the seams of the device. Wipes with 70% isopropyl alcohol Clorox or similar disinfecting wipes.

 Lint-free cloths lightly sprayed with alcohol.

1. Before cleaning, be sure to disconnect your phone from any cables and power sources. 

2. Do not use bleach, hand sanitizer, or any liquid cleanser that is not intended for use in electronic devices. Even if these products are alcohol-based like hand sanitizers, they also have moisturizing properties because they are meant to be used on the skin and could harm your phone.

3. Only use lint-free cloths to clean your device: soft microfiber cloths, cotton balls  and cotton bales can damage the device and make cleaning difficult. In my experience, glass cleaning cloths work best.

4. Keep in mind that alcohol only works on hard surfaces, so if your phone has a leather or soft case, it is better to avoid cleaning it with alcohol. If you have questions about a certain product or material, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer and request safe cleaning instructions.

Any amount of moisture can damage your phone, so be sure not to spray alcohol directly on the screen. Instead, spray a cloth with rubbing alcohol to clean the phone. This cloth should be slightly damp, but not wet.
